Welcome to Scarlet Oaks Retirement Community. We are located in the gaslight district of Clifton, close to the hospitals yet nestled in a 43-acre campus serving individuals in all stages of retirement. Scarlet Oaks is committed to providing top-notch services through caring, knowledgeable and heartfelt professionals. We offer a community encouraging independence, personal growth, creativity, and happiness. The Oaks building is our Independent Living area, now housing Assisted Living units as well. Independent Living residents have independence in the community while enjoying our dining service, transportation, socialization, and light housekeeping if needed. Three complimentary meals a day are prepared by our Chef served in our dining area. Parking is designated for our Independent Living residents as well. You can be as active as you would like, going on community outings and participating in weekly activities or you can enjoy the quaint lifestyle of deer, squirrels, and birds to help make your home sweet home! Situated on 43 acres of park-like grounds offering a magnificent view of the city, Scarlet Oaks boasts one of Cincinnati’s oldest and grandest mansions. Donated in 1908 by E.H. Huenenfeld, one of the city’s wealthiest socialites, the land and mansion were first established as a retirement home in 1915. From its very beginnings, the mission of Scarlet Oaks came from the founders’ deeply held values of quality care for seniors in the community. Ever since, our goal has been to provide loving care and well-maintained surroundings to those in need of a comfortable place to retire.
