Established in 1975, Sakura Gardens was formerly known as Keiro Retirement Home, a paradise for the Japanese elderly. Sakura Gardens is a luxurious full-service Japanese retirement community offering independent and assisted living in prime Los Angeles area. Sakura Gardens welcomes residents to live by their own design. Our luxurious community consists of a five-story building with spacious studio and one bedroom apartment homes. Residents enjoy carefree living at its best. We provide residents with the services and amenities they need, want and deserve to live each day just as they choose. Surrounded by the beauty of a traditional Japanese landscape, residents can pursue lifelong and new interests, dine on chef-prepared Japanese and Western-style meals, and enjoy provided transportation services. Additional support services are available as personal needs change. At Sakura Gardens, residents partake in plenty of activities such as origami classes, Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), Chigirie (Japanese art class), Shigin (Japanese singing), Karaoke free time, Tea Ceremony, Minyo Shamisen (Japanese folk singing and dancing), Shiatsu, etc. Our menu has a variety of American, Japanese, and ethnic foods. Included in our weekly menu are Japanese meals such as Beef Sukiyaki, Salmon Teriyaki, Shoyu Ramen, Udon, Tempura Soba, Unagi Donburi. National holidays such as Christmas, New Year as well as Japanese holidays such as Hinamatsuri also known as Girl’s Day in March, Keiro No Hi also known as Respect the Elders Day are celebrated every year. Sakura Gardens Independent residents enjoy carefree living at its best. The community is situated on a 5-acre, gated community with 24-hour security. Surrounded by spectacular views and minutes away from downtown Los Angeles, our community is the ideal home for providing comfort and convenience. Sakura Gardens consists of spacious and well-designed studio and one-bedroom, apartment homes. Delicious meals, including Japanese foods, prepared by gourmet chefs are provided three times a day. Our community consists of Japanese and English-speaking employees, making the residents feel at home.
