In 1948 the Dominican Sisters of Oxford began caring for the elderly in their previous motherhouse nestled along the shores of Scott Lake — a stunning location reflecting the beauty of God's creation. Today, more than 60 years later, Lourdes Senior Community, a non-profit, continuing care retirement community, has grown into a neighborhood of 250 seniors living in four distinct residences: Fox Manor on the Lake independent living, Mendelson Home assisted living, Clausen Manor for those living with memory loss, and Lourdes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for long-term and short-term care. The all-inclusive, comfortable apartments at Fox Manor on the Lake allow you to have the privacy of your own home with a variety of services and amenities at your fingertips. Housekeeping, laundry service, utilities, an evening meal and a full calendar of activities are included in your monthly rent. With studio, one and two bedroom apartments you will find just the lifestyle you have been looking for. Each apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting and individually controlled heating and cooling. The apartments are wired for DirecTV and wireless computer capabilities. We also provide a 24-hour medic alert system and 24-hour security. The residents of Fox Manor stay active and participate in a full range of activities including bingo, cards, trips to Frankenmuth and casinos, weekly shopping and boat trips on our own pontoon boat. Residents also enjoy the beautiful campus, taking walks along the forest pathways or fishing from our lakeside dock. Our strong Catholic heritage calls for us to care for the spiritual health of our residents in addition to their physical well being. Mass is offered twice a week and rosary is offered daily at the chapel in Fox Manor. Non-denominational services are offered as well.
