Headquartered in Upper Arlington, Ohio, National Church Residences is the nation’s largest not-for-profit provider of affordable senior housing and services. With over 310 communities in 25 states and Puerto Rico, National Church Residences also provides health care in Ohio and Florida, including the operation of Senior Living Communities and permanent supportive housing for the formerly homeless and disabled. The National Church Residences model of person-centered care includes adult day services, assisted living, senior housing, rehabilitation suites, memory care, rehabilitation centers, outpatient therapy, home health care and hospice. Founded by the Rev. John R. Glenn and four Ohio Presbyterian churches in 1961, National Church Residences is certified as a 501c (3) charitable organization. Rev. Glenn formed National Church Residences out of a Christian commitment to serve older adults' housing, social and human needs. His innovative thinking resulted in the purchase of an abandoned company town in Waverly, Ohio, that became Bristol Village, National Church Residences' first housing community. For more than 55 years, National Church Residences has built a proven track record of excellence based on continuous improvement to its services and standards of care for those we serve. Our diverse portfolio includes Senior Living Communities, permanent supportive housing communities that serve the formerly homeless and disabled, a Home & Community Services senior home health care agency, Centers for Senior Health that provide adult day services and residential health care facilities that provide assisted living and skilled nursing.
