Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) has been fostering health, healing and wellness in northern New Jersey for more than 100 years. Since its inception, CHCC has grown to offer the most complete continuum of senior living, elder-care, short-term rehabilitation, and mental-health services available on any campus in the area, and serves as a vital source of services and information for clients, residents, patients, consumers, and their sponsors. In fact, CHCC offers the area’s most complete continuum of services and lifestyle options on one campus, with a dedicated staff that includes full-time, on-staff specialists such as physicians, dietitians, clinical nurse specialists, geriatric nurse practitioners, chaplains, physiatrists, counselors, social workers, and physical, occupational and speech therapists. The significant skills of our staff members are complemented by the use of advanced technology including iN2L interactive software for residents, wi-fi service, online video communication services, and electronic medical records. CHCC offers a variety of independent living options for senior adults in northern New Jersey Typically designed for adults age 55 and over, independent senior living communities provide apartments for senior adults who are active and capable of living independently, but who may also desire access to convenient services, living spaces designed with their needs and security in mind, and the programs and social activities available in a community. Evergreen Court Designed to offer supportive senior living that fosters independence, privacy, and community connection in a home-like atmosphere. Offers both market-rate rent and affordable housing with rent based on income. When you walk through the front entrance of Evergreen Court, you’ll immediately sense the warm, welcoming atmosphere—and you’ll probably meet a smiling face or two. Designed to offer supportive senior living that fosters independence, privacy, and community connection, Evergreen Court offers the cordial, home-like environment you want and the security you need—all conveniently located on the CHCC campus in Bergen County, NJ. Personally appointed and home-like in design, independent living at Evergreen Court provides residents with a warm, comforting environment. An abundance of windows lends a light and airy feel to the space. Apartments are furnished with residents’ own furniture and accessories, contributing to the personal, home-like setting. Each apartment features a: living room, galley kitchen, bedroom with closet, bathroom with full bath and safety railings, cable-television access, and private telephone hook-up. More than half of the 40 apartments are designated as affordable housing with rent based on income; the remainder are based on fair market value for the area. A Sense of Community Evergreen Court includes many spaces set aside for socializing, activities, entertainment, and more. These common spaces include: dining room, sitting rooms on each level, porch/patio area for outside activities, penthouse activities room with TV/VCR, laundry facilities on each floor, and attic storage area. Convenient Services Many personal services are available for residents’ convenience. These ancillary services, available for a fee, include: delivered meals, housekeeping, personal maintenance requests (routine maintenance is included), 24-hour private-duty nursing available at a fee, and internet connection available. Hillcrest Residence Hillcrest Residence is a “pre-assisted living” option created for seniors who are in good health and want to maintain their independence, but also find comfort in knowing that assistance is close by if needed. The best of both worlds: independent living with friends close by. Each resident enjoys a private studio with the benefit of shared, restaurant-style dining, planned group activities, and the security of 24-hour staff presence in this “pre-assisted living” option. A Room of One’s Own Each resident of Hillcrest enjoys his or her own private studio with a private bathroom and shower. Residents can personalize their homes to their tastes with their own furnishings. Other features include: emergency call system in each bedroom and bathroom, fire-safety features, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, housekeeping and linen service, and general maintenance, regular safety checks, and snow removal. Enjoy healthy, delicious meals with all of the fun and none of the work. One of the causes of poor nutrition or loss of appetite is eating alone. At Hillcrest Residence, three healthy, delicious meals are served each day in a lovely setting, where residents enjoy the company of friends and restaurant-style dining. Snacks are also available throughout the day. Planned social and recreational programming adds to the warmth of life at Hillcrest. Residents also enjoy quiet time and activities in the many common spaces including: wellness and rehabilitation room, spacious living room, library, TV lounge, cheery sun room, country kitchen, and outdoor patio and decks.
