Asbury Park is a caring community that supports life for all ages while enhancing physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellness through caring staff, innovative programs, and benevolent support. We are also a not-for-profit retirement community located in Newton, Kansas. Asbury Park is a non-profit retirement community located in Newton, KS. The 34-acre property is in close proximity to restaurants, churches, shopping, Newton Medical Center, and nationally acclaimed Sand Creek Station Golf Course. They will be celebrating 55 years of caring service in 2017. That is more than half a century providing elders with a variety of life styles and services, including independent living rental cottages and universally-designed patio homes, rapid recovery, assisted living, memory support and 24 hour skilled nursing services. A new model of universally-designed patio homes have been constructed on Asbury Park's independent living campus. These homes are intentionally designed with elements that allow individuals to age-in-place and remain in their homes longer as their mobility, health and other physical abilities decline. In addition to our innovative Patio Homes we also feature homes designed to the impeccable standards of the Green House Home Project. Each of our Green House Homes are specifically dedicated to protect, nurture, and enhance each house member’s well being while receiving special attention by our nurses 24/7. They have a house dedicated to rehabilitation services with a therapy room which is fully equipped to make sure people are ready for everyday life when they return home. Asbury Park provides a safe environment for those who are challenged with symptoms of memory impairment, but still can and want to do many tasks for themselves. The setting is just like home with a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedrooms, and a private courtyard. Recently, Asbury Park was certified to run the nationally acclaimed Music and Memory program. This program has been a blessing for our residents to improve the quality of their daily lives. The Independent Living is great for those who want the independence of living in a home but not the hassle of dealing with maintenance of the yard and everyday repairs of the home. The rental cottages are a variety of freestanding and duplex homes, with monthly prices is based off of the size of the home.
